The Anselmo community has a very long history dating back to 1907, when homesteaders began developing and farming the area. The Anselmo hall (then called the Highway Hall) was built in 1934. The current hall was built in 1987, shortly after the development of the Anselmo Recreation and Agricultural Society on July 17, 1984. Since the halls opening, it has been used extensively by the community and area. It is used for all of our own functions as well as weddings, showers, stags, school reunions, family reunions, fairs, 4-H meetings, county functions, meetings, firefighter training, banquets, funerals, memorial services and much much more.
